A 30-year-old judge, Aman Kumar Sharma, was found dead in a hanging condition at his residence in the Safdarjung area of Delhi, with allegations linking the incident to prolonged marital disputes and mental distress. Family members claimed he had been facing harassment over the past two months, particularly due to conflicts with his wife Swati, also a judge, and alleged interference by her sister Nidhi Mallik, an IAS officer posted in Jammu & Kashmir. Police have questioned family members, conducted a forensic examination at the scene, and sent the body for postmortem, stating that the investigation is ongoing from all angles. Aman had joined the Delhi Judicial Service in June 2021 after completing BA LLB from Symbiosis Law School and was serving as a Civil Judge and JMFC.
